A scattered collection of vintage sports trading cards, mostly baseball and basketball.

A few years ago, after a Category 5 hurricane destroyed our family home, we lost nearly our entire collection. Decades of collecting, gone in a moment. Miraculously, one small box of cards survived. The photo you see is that very box. After I found it, covered in debris, it sat in a closet for a long time. Honestly, part of me ignored it, as I didn’t want to deal with the emotions of the storm, let alone losing a collection that was decades in the making. It was easier to leave it closed than to open it and face what was left.

Recently, a buddy of mine was talking about some football cards he had. It piqued my interest, and we finally decided to go through that dusty old box that somehow survived a natural disaster. One card turned into another, then another and before we knew it, we were right back in it! Just like old times.

This is my bro, Dan. He has loved sports cards since he was a kid, as well as the WWE and the Florida Gators! Cards have always brought him joy and a sense of excitement. After popping open that box, I realized that passion never faded.

So, each weekend, we sit down and go through cards we've just purchased, talk about players, share memories, and list a few for sale. It’s not just about the cards; it’s about the time spent together, the conversations, and the simple moments that come with it. It gives him something to look forward to all week, and in a busy world, it gives all of us a reason to slow down and be present.

After thinking it over, I decided to do something bigger. Start a shop with him! So, here we are!

Giving back is important to us, and we believe it’s important to the hobby as well. Our promise is that 50% of every sale goes toward doing good things in the community, while the rest goes to taking him out to enjoy the things he loves (especially a good dinner out!). On the site, you’ll see some of the ways we use that money to make a positive impact.

We want this to be about more than just buying and selling cards; it’s about using something we love to make a difference, even in small ways. So, when you buy a card, you’re doing more than adding to your collection; you’re helping support a small family project built around connection, kindness, and community. Oh, and of course, Dan’s chicken tender habit!
